  • negativity begets negativity - consider how attack ads are related to community violence

  • be mindful of the parts of yourself that think negative campaigning is the best way, whatever the justification, and choose the higher path because it’s what’s healthiest for local & national community

  • commit to avoiding negative campaign ads. be creative.

  • share out your intentions to use positive campaigning to prioritize peace

  • ask your fellow candidates to do the same
